He established the Todd Richter Fund with a substantial $5 million estate commitment, serving as a pivotal source of support for various critical areas within the university. Specifically, the fund bolsters the Graduate Finance Department and the Dean’s office at the Kelley School, while also providing graduate fellowships for students with a strong interest in finance, ensuring the continuity of opportunities for future generations. Additionally, the fund facilitates two professorships for faculty specializing in securities analysis. Notably, the fund employs a unique approach, allocating additional resources evenly among these four areas, ensuring equitable distribution of support.

Richter’s decision to establish this fund follows a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the financial healthcare sector. Widely regarded as one of the foremost analysts on Wall Street, his expertise and insights have earned him significant recognition. Currently serving as a managing director in the global healthcare investment banking group at Bank of America, a position he has held since 1999, Richter previously spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley, making notable contributions to the company’s healthcare services equity research division.
